 The Renaissance
castle in the valley of Dolna Micina is from the second half of the 16th century
and belonged to the Beniczky family. The Micina travertine quarries were
declared a protected natural resource in 1975. Mineral springs well from the
travertine springs. Ceramic fragments from the Late Stone Age have been found
not far from here.
The Gothic church of St. Matthew from the beggining of the 14th century is
located in the neighbouring village of Cerin. There are precious murals inside
the church. There is a wooden belfry and a stone wall loopholes close to the
church.
There is a Gothic church from the 13th century and a Classicist church from
the 18th century in Horna Micina.
